AP Home Designs was started by Ashley Pudenz in 2021 out of a desire to help people with their dream of building.

Founder of AP Home Designs

I'm a Midwest girl with a passion for home design. I am here to help you navigate designing your space! I'm so glad you are here.

I studied Interior Design at Iowa State and received my bachelor's in Interior Design in 2014. From there, I went on to work for a corporate Interior Design firm followed by a prominent home builder where I gained the skills and experience I now use at AP Home Designs. I worked with a team to complete residential construction drawings for homes all across the Des Moines metro.

With a background in Interior Design and practical experience in residential construction, I provide clients with the insights and detail they need to begin the construction process. It would be my privilege to deliver you a functional design that serves your needs and harnesses a cohesive aesthetic that exceeds your expectations.

Michael Taylor

Designer

I'm Michael Taylor, proud to be part of AP Home Designs, where we specialize in delivering quality and personalized residential architectural solutions.

My passion for design was sparked as a child playing with Legos and trying to redesign my favorite board games. Later I was introduced to drafting and some early CAD programs and the pieces that helped me fuel my creativity fell into place. While taking a residential design class in high school I found myself immediately captivated by the process of crafting floor plans tailored to different individuals and their unique needs.

Studying the works of the greatest architects in the world, I delved into understanding how they curated spaces that hold deeper significance for their inhabitants, which helped me graduate from Kansas State University with a Master's in Architecture. AP Home Designs gives me the opportunity to get to know clients and work hand in hand with them to produce a home that fulfills their needs.

Executive Administrator

My position with AP Home Designs looks a bit different than my other two coworkers. I work as the social media coordinator and help with all things administrative! I studied event management and public relations at Iowa State and find a passion in business communications.

Most of my work is behind the scenes, helping manage the website, coordinating phone calls and emails, posting on our social media pages and helping your experience with AP Home Designs be the best it can be.
